“I love deadlines. I love the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.” –Douglas Adams
Oh, so true.
An increasing percentage of conversations with my husband lately have revolved on how overrated adulthood is, beyond the fact that our greater independence better enables us to buy bacon and ice cream whenever we please. I truly love the Christmas season, but I also feel like it was easier to enjoy as a child. Not more meaningful or more fun, just… easier. Then, I didn’t have craft shows to prepare for, nor was I responsible for shopping of any real substance. Now, there is that, plus all the other great real-life stuff, like dealing with the insurance company post-accident, or scheduling an exterminator appointment because our bathroom keeps ejecting tiny flying ants from some mysterious crevice.
Ahh, those were the days.
I just updated my floral portfolio with pics of the arrangements I made for Winter Craft Market; most are still available and will be trickling onto Etsy. I’ve given up on Christmas but am getting a jump on Valentines Day and Mother’s Day!
I am really looking forward to Christmas, even if I am forced to be an adult. :)
