Gallery page!

Hello! Guess what? I finally got my gallery page up. :) I was going to format it through WordPress on my website but was not looking forward to all of the tweaking and uploading and nonsense, so I ended up going through Carbonmade instead. I am not ashamed to say that I chose them as much because of their humorous website as because of their sleek, simple layouts. It was a good choice, I’m quite happy with how it’s shaping up. I’ll be adding more work soon, but in the mean time, why not go check it out?

{I’d like to give a shout-out to our wonderful and incredibly talented wedding photographer, Jana Scott. The day before we drove up to Alfred for the wedding I took photos of all the bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages so I’d have a record of them after they went home with everyone. Unfortunately, almost none of those photos turned out, so the ones in the gallery are Jana’s. She told me I didn’t have to bother crediting her as they’re technically my work, but I am anyway.}

I’ve been doing a lot of painting– four watercolors in progress at the same time!

Stasia Burrington had a drawing on her blog for a copy of a craft book she contributed to– and I won it! (If you haven’t seen her work, you should remedy that. She’s fabulous!) It’s called Shrink! Shrank! Shrunk! and was amazingly timely– I’ve been wanting to make some different jewelry for a while and even picked up some shrink plastic, but never did anything with it. (Weddings. They have that effect…) Right now I’m working on some sets based on my insect etchings.

Let’s not talk about the silkscreening. Perhaps it will be my overambitious misadventure for the year, but I really hope otherwise. Yesterday I ruined two scarves.
