Hallo. I have been pretty sick. Usually when I’m sick I just keep on trying to get things done but this time I just laid on the couch and watched copious amounts of TV on the internet. Not consecutively, kept having to take breaks every time Megavideo ran out of time. Boo. I filled in the gaps with equally copious amounts of scanlated shoujo manga on Manga Fox. I am catching up on my Ai Yazawa. I definitely like her older series much more– way more cute and innocent. Gokinjo Monogatari and Tenshi Nanka Ja Nai are nice. I think I might actually dislike NANA but I want to know what happens. I should have read it before the others, that way I’d have something to cheer me up. Aa, TenNai. ♥ Nothing beats a male lead with a pompadour. (Although I rooted for Ken-chan.)
I have been sleeping so much! It’s pretty nice, actually. I have a tendency to stay up too late simply because I work better in the evening and have a hard time stopping for trivial things like rest. Though I’m not accomplishing much! I haven’t been to the print shop in nearly two weeks now and foolishly left all my plates there, so I haven’t any to work on here at home. I ordered the same brand of hard ground that we had at Alfred (PSU’s is the wrong consistency for how I work, and a bit tacky) so I can work more on plates without having to drive to town & pay for parking. It was so easy to go to the studio and work for big chunks of time when I was a senior and had my own space to store things, plus it was only a 5-10 minute walk from my flat. O current inconvenience, you wench. I might as well do as much as possible at home and just go to the shop for etching and actual printing.
I’ve been doing a lot of reading online about printmaking so I’m excited to try some new things. I’m drawing a blank lately for subject matter.
